Default Moving a 90G viv

Hi all,
I am going to be moving to a new house and have a 90g viv that I am going to have to move. Anyone have any suggestions on which is the best way to to it? It is split in 2 sections with leca & coco and I can suck out the water that accumulates, so no water feature to mess with.
Thanks for the help,
Scott

I have an overly obvious suggestion that I am sure you have thought of. That is get the frogs out of the tank before you try and move it. I can only imagine the pain and anguish if the tank gets broken and the frogs get out or dry out. Other then that it might be a good time to trim any overgrown plants.

How far are you moving, or a better question is how long will it take to get where you are going?

I concur with removing the inhabitants if it is going to be a long trip. In addition, you might want to consider how contents may shift during the trip as this could put extra stress on the glass walls (imagine if you had to brake suddenly for example).

Yeah, I was definately going to take the reginas and byh's out before the move. I don't have too far to go, maybe 3-4 miles, and didn't know how heavy this is going to be. Do people usually try to move the tank set up if possible? I would hate to have to break it down.

I've moved most of my vivariums completely set up. Even a 120gal pentegon.

2-3 guys should be able to lift it. The contents will shift some so you'll have readjust a bit. If it's an aquarium made for fish then the glass should be strong enough for up to about 4'' of gravel.
take out any large rocks that may fall or roll into the glass too.
