Default which species can be kept in groups?

I am considering setting up a second tank. For tihs tank I'd like to keep some higher numbers - which species can be kept in a group (ie - more than a pair) and what would be the best ratio male to female?

my vote is for leucs. They are bright bold and seem to be very hardy.
