Will Springtails consume Wheat Germ? Would it be a good food?

All my thanks!

It's worth a shot. I've used it to thicken ff media and it worked really well. Got excellent production

Anything that ends up broken down by microbial action can be used to feed the springtails... Keep in mind that grain sources can be a sort of grain mites.

1) they can outcompete the springtails for food
2) some predate on the springtails or thier eggs
3) some do both....

Ive been trying a new food source with all my springs. I use a Chinese fungus thats used for cooking. It costs .98 cents a for a huge 2lb bag. It break it up in a coffee grinder and add to the springs. I have never seen growth like this on any cultures Ive ever done. The springs COVER every bit of this stuff and, I have not been able to see any mites come from it.

Tell me more about this Fugi Mordoria. I like Chinese and I like fungi, so I am assuming I would like to use Chinese Fungi Especially if you are getting crazy production.
