How long can you keep supplements until they go bad?

they usually have an expiration date.

I record the day I open it and throw it out no more than 6 months after that date (if it lasts that long!). I think that the expiration date is a great guide to give you an idea how long a product has been sitting on the shelf but they can lose potency pretty fast after it is unsealed.
