visitor in springtail culture

i was looking in my springtail culture today and i have a few things i am unsure of what they are. small white and small brown bugs in with my springs. they arent as long as my springs and are "fatter". what could they be and would they harm my culture? it is still im my started culture box as im still trying to get a larger box to dump them into to make larger. thanks in advance

Small white and small brown bugs, and "fatter" -- I got the same bugs. Do they look alot like spiders? I lost a box of springs in just few days, and I guess the spider-like bugs ate them.

Mites...
You wil lose your culture to them...
Start a new one now w/ different spring stock.
or rid the mites somehow w/o harming the springs.
im not sure how to do that yet.
