I don't 'culture' isopods per say, but just as springtails they'll eat just about anything. So since that being the case I feed them what I would consider to be 'best' and leave out the rest.
Various UNGROUND (ground by hand when needed for storage purposes) grains/seeds, algae, pollen they'll happily eat their fruits/vegies but I do not use that.

Would be hard not t feed both. But again grains, algae, pollen yada yada, oh yeah rice (no long grain).
