Drat, its adware that's causing it?? Well I went to the addon manager in firefox, and I removed something suspicious that was called "codec 1.0" that I did not remember installing.... maybe that will get rid of it.

I assumed that it was dendroboard because it's the only site I saw it on, but I guess it only speared here because I have adblock disabled for this site

Beleive it or not a mngr at a local pet store that has since closed used to call one of her older male employees that name. It gives an interesting visual with a name like that.
