aren't these now called ameerega (billingus, macero, zaparo)?

Nope, Allobates was split off from Epipedobates. They mimic A. bilinguis and A. parvulus. Check out the paper from Nature.

i have placed searches out on every single forum in europe with no result.

I disagree with this, at least in terms of macero- which is an Ameerega. (And quite possibly the champion of ugly generic names for beautiful frogs).

Macero is also interesting in that it is a stream breeder.
