R.vanzolinii keepers...
I would like to know your experiences with this species(ie more terrestrial, more arboreal, etc). What commonly kept species do they compare to as far as preferred living space and/or breeding behavior? Any other noteworthy info would be appreciated as well.
Thanks in advance,
Brian

Re: R.vanzolinii keepers...
Brian,
I've got a couple in my 80H-60-50 viv together with azureus. The vanzolinii seldom go onto the ground. In the morning they stoll on the frontglass and later during the day they stay on the plants in the background. 2-4 eggs are layed on big bromelia's (fenestralis over here) and the male transports the larvae to broms and black film canisters which hold some water. These canisters I have tilded a bit, not vertical...might works too.
I pull the larvae at a certain age and raise them, just like my other frogs, with a mis of spirulinae, fish food, dried mosquito and such.
They are not so shy as amazonicus, I can find almost any time of day

Re: R.vanzolinii keepers...
Well interesting you started this thread! I am getting 1.2 adult Vanzo's this evening.
Iám getting them from Wouter Olthof (ron prolly knows him)
I have read a 40+ page Article from a german Online journal. It is a very interesting article with a lot of information, but the only con is that its german....
If someone understands german I can send you a copy...

Is it a website? If so, you could use babelfish.

Re: R.vanzolinii keepers...
Hi Dennis,
I'd be very interested in this article...or is it the original one from Divossen (translated in our DN magazine)?
Good luck with your frogs.
Hope they'll be as mine...I just pulled yet another larvae out of a canister. I bet they'll have more in the broms. So now it's a bit easier for ma to feed the kids.

Re: R.vanzolinii keepers...
Hi,
The article can be found on Poisonfrogs - Frsche sind unser Hobby and then "poisonfrog-online journal" and it's the "Ausgabe 1/2008"
Just fill in the form on the bottom of the page and they will send you the article.
@ Ron
I posted a message on the Vanzo topic on DN
Gegroet,
Dennis

Re: R.vanzolinii keepers...
haha I was thinking of that.... I wanted to ask the writers if I can translate and spread the article.
So I may just do that, but it will take a while...
