Exclamation Are they going to lay eggs?

I got a proven pair of borja ridge vents about 1-2 months ago.I am putting them through the wet/dry cycle, and right now it is day 2 of the dry cycle. The female is following the male around.I have heard this is when the male chooses a spot for the eggs to lay and the female lays them wherever the male chooses. Is this true? Also I have noticed that a lot of my springtails are coming out and crawling around the tank. Why is this,I thought they like high humidity?

Ps:my spring are tropical springtails.

JP

I havent found cycling necessary.

My springtails crawl around the tank, esp in the dark. So I dont think you are observing anything out of the ordinary.

JP,

I'd bet that your springs just had a population boom, and that's why they seem to be everywhere. Happens in some of my vivs every 3-4 months.

They had a boom a little while ago, because there was thousands under the leaf litter, and now they have seemed to leaved the litter and start crawling around the viv.
