Default D Azureus - ok to breed to lines together?

Noob question here. I'm in the planning stages of setting up my first dart frog viv. I'd like to eventually breed them. I'm pretty sure I'll go with azureus.

Is it okay to breed together two lines of the same species and morph? For example, can I breed a male azureus from Josh's frogs to a female azureus from UE?

And would that be beneficial to the offspring? I'm trying to give the offspring better genetic diversity.

Thanks!

From what I have read I believe its pretty frowned upon in the dart frog community to cross breed anything.

Breeding two of the same species I'm positive isn't frowned on lol. If they only breed brothers and sisters for to long we would have some really messed up frogs.

Azureus come from a small geo region. Azureus is Azureus so yes.

I plan on doing what you are talking about as well. I'll source either an unrelated pair, or raise up small groups of a single species from two different breeders and pair accordingly.
Good for you. Not many hobbyists take that step, but instead buy three to five tads, and let nature take its course among full siblings.

As long as you're breeding, say, a D. auratus 'El Cope' with another D. auratus 'El Cope,' for example, then it's actually good for genetic diversity to choose parents who are not siblings. The less closely related they are, while still staying within the same species and morph (as I understand it), the better.
