Well yesterday was the first round of layoffs at work.
I made it through round one safe. Although I am a union member ( not by choice ) and the layoffee's have 20 day to decide if they are bumping other people out of their jobs.
My department got turned updside down.
Today is round two.

Sorry to hear it - I'm currently way under employed. I'm doing a little work for a former employer... enough to keep me in the house for an extra month or two (not that this is a problem at this particular point in time).
It's bound to get worse before it gets better - I just hope the cycle is pretty quick.

I work for my local hospital in the home health department. Atleast I can say this round of lay offs they started at the top. ( my boss and her boss being one of the ones affected)
Insurance companies dont pay much, Self pay people most of the time dont pay their bills. You send a insurance company a bill for a visit for $140 plus supplies. They write off the supplies and send you a check for $72. WTF? Contractual allowance.
I do hope things get better soon. Too many people every where are losing their jobs. It is sad.Posted 01-09-2009 at 03:07 PM by porkchop48
