man! this has been a crappy week............... real crappy
.my wife (jessica) is back in the hospital. you may already know but she had a heart transplant 2 yrs ago . she recently went back into rejection, which means her body is fighting off the heart. she has no immune system as it is so its hard to regulate it past lowering her immune system she is on dialisis for 4 hours a day. havent got too many answers from the docs which does not mean anything good...................all we can do is keep our spirits up! and hope you add her to your prayer list for this easter sunday!
on top of that i threw my back out on monday if things couldnt get any worse. life is depressing sometimes. i had to work all week too! lucily i have a sit down job.......i drive a floor scrubber all day(looks like a zamboni ) it was a struggle but i made it and it is feeling better and i finally got to take my daughter up to see her mommy
we are having a party today for her third birthday.............tons of little kids
my wife planned it and cant even be here
its hard to keep her in good spirits but all will be fine hopefully
ohh and sorry i havent been on here lately ive been very busy trying to get bills payed

update.............
she is out of rejection, but her heart is going from 30% to 60% blood flow
it is a sham we may have to go through the whole transplant again
and it may not match up as good as this one did at first. we have not told her yet that she may be put back on the list, and she will not want to do it again. it takes a lot out of you. but hopefully she will agree life is worth the pain .... i know my daughter would not want her to give up and neither do i.Posted 04-14-2009 at 09:54 PM by iridebmx

my wife is getting somewhat better in in regards to being stable as far as her heart goes it is not getting worse nor better..... though they may let her come home next week . she will still have to go back to the hospital to undergo radiation treatments two or three times a week. and will have to carry an iv that goes directly into her heart.being in rejection so many times has taken its toll on her heart and a retransplant will be needed .they have not officially put her back on the doner list but as soon as they do they will spend a little more time finding a good match so it will not be rejected so much . rejection is inevitable though. just hopefully not as frequent.
thank you for your comments it means a lot

sorry for not updating in a few days..........
i have just been getting online to check my e mail and thats it.
she never did get to come home . now for some reason her stomach is not digesting food at all. she has not urinated in a week and she pukes up everything she eats(solids).and poops the liquids. she is not feeling very good at all . the only reason why they let her even eat food is for phycological reasons, because she feels hungry and thirsty non stop.she is getting all nutrition from an iv i guess. they dont even know why she cant digest food but their narrowing the possibilities.
she is beginning to tell everyone to stop comming up there to see her (exept my daughter and I) . after so many people come up and say it will be better she is getting tired of hearing it. the only person she likes comming up is my old boss . he is on a heart tp list his self and has a hard to find blood type.he struggels through the same things as her. he is in his late 40's i think so he gets worse than her as far as willpower goes.Posted 04-25-2009 at 03:54 PM by iridebmx

the day after i posted that last comment they did surgery on her heart valves and it helped a lot! they didnt want to do it when she was in such bad condition but it really helped and fast too.she immediatly started digesting food normally and came home today!!!!!!!!! wooo hoo! i am so happy now ! i was getting very depressed and feel a lot better now
so maybe you might see me at the reptile shows or somethin who knows . i have not done anything exept work, sleep and stay at the hospital.
she still has to go to the hospital to get radiation treatments three times per week though....bummer ,but they can keep a close look at her and catch anything wrong. it will be a 9 month treatment to kill off her T cells in her blood......not too sure how common it is but hopefully it helps keep this heart from getting rejected . it might not take anymorePosted 05-10-2009 at 01:44 AM by iridebmx

I am glad to hear she is doing well. I will keep her in prayer. If she has been on antibiotics, it may have induced the digestive problems as well---sometimes when the immune system is on alert, it will disturb other systems that aren't aggravating it in the first place. Taking a good probiotic regimen will help get her digestion back on track.Posted 06-15-2009 at 06:12 PM by earthfrog
