probably gonna be a rant...

I just got my first negative feedback. I know this stuff isn't a big deal, but now I know how annoyed people are after reading these comments in their feedback. here’s mine,("I’d get a cheapo PDF, put him in there" - just because a frog is less expensive does not make it expendable. Stupid logic.)
The whole definition behind expendability is the cost and ease of replacement! If something is cheaper it is more expendable! I know, Webster just told me so!
I can't help but think this person is some kind of PETA participant. I strongly disagree with this person, the price tag on a frog to me directly relates to its expendability. In this way, Monetary Value and Expendability, are synonymous to me. I have yet to acquire any Reticulata strictly because of the respect I have for their rarity and value in the hobby. I don't feel absolutely ready yet for this species even though I have yet to lose a PDF in my one year in the hobby. When I got into the hobby I started off with Auratus, largely because I felt they were expendable.
here’s some reasoning/ranting. why does the lowest ranking guy take point in MOUT? because when you are clearing a building the first guy to get zipped in the head is the guy in front, aka, he’s expendable. why is it common practice for aquarists to use guppies and goldfish to jump start their nitrogen cycle in a tank? because should the ammonia spike too high they are expendable. and why do I suggest using a cheapo frog to find out if there is a disease in a viv and what that disease might be, because it is expendable. I don't like putting a healthy frog into a potentially dirty tank but I also didn't like being the first guy in a building either. Some things are better off done, and someone has to do these things.
Would you throw away a 430$ viv because a frog died in it, or would you try and find out if anything was wrong with the tank and what that might be, by putting a PDF into it and monitoring that frog? Or would you do something else?
I really want to yell at this guy, because he didn’t even bother posting on the thread telling the OP how he felt. The OP was the person looking for opinions and advice in the first place, not me! Thank you all for reading my rant, it feels good to yell at my monitor and type really hard. SOB… see, you try it!
