Default Housing a pair of Pumilio

Hey guys,

Just wondering what you guys thought about this, if I should house a pair of pumilio in a heavily planted 5.5 gallon vivarium. would that allow them to breed more, and allow the male to find the eggs easier?

Thanks,
Jesse

5.5 gallons? why not just stuff them in a fly container?

5.5 galons is way to smal heav planbting or not.

Move that decimal point!
I can't offer firsthand advice on pumilio, but everything I've read (and I've read a lot) indicates they usually do better with more space, more like 20g and up for a pair.

The more space the better. That goes for pums, thumbs, tincs, etc.

My pums have a heavy-planted area and a place with no plants - with only a small "house" on it and they seem well

Default On....

Hey,

On doyle's dart den, he was housing some Imitators in a five gallon. Is it okay to house Imitators in that size of a viv?

Thanks,
Jesse

sorry I voted yes, I didnt read that you were planning on putting them in 5.5 g's. Shouldnt it be at least 10 or 15?
My final non official vote, no.

You can...But I have a saying for that...
Just because you can, doesn't mean you should.
Also ten gallon tanks are usually cheaper anyway.
One thing I know about imitator, is they are the dirtiest frogs I have, you look In my terribilis tank (2 in a ten), and you'd be hard pressed to find a feces, in my vert tens with a pair of imitator each, the day (seems like) after you spray and clean up the tank, they go and crap on the glass or whatever. Just an observation.
