Default 20 gallon high tank.....

Hey,

I am currently working on a 20 gallon high viv. I was wondering what frog would be good to put in it? Would some Terriblis be okay?

Thanks,
Jesse

are these your first frogs?.....u may put some terriblis but they are known to be terestrial (live on land) so they would be much happier if more land space was available. also what are the dimensions?

Good Luck,

imo, a pair at the most.

Almost any PDF can be kept in pairs in a 20H. Some could accomodate up to 4 frogs, again imho. I keep 4 lecus and 4 auratus in 2 separate 20H tanks without problems.

I have 3 powder blue tincs in a 20H and they do fine. Like Arliker pointed out, even these terrestrial frogs still climb. I would terrace it a little bit to give them the ability to move around, get away from each other, etc. They spend a fair amount of time climbing terraces, going up the ghost wood, or climbing on the leafy plants that can support their weight. I have lots of nooks and crannys, space under logs, and rocks, etc.

I got a 20 gallon high and there is not enough space for terestrial frogs. I would consider some arboreal or semi arboreal like some of the pumilios or thumbnails.

Default These...

No, these are not my first dart frogs, as I have been keeping darts for over a year now. Thanks for the posts.

I second the imitator idea. With a nice background with bromes, they will usually stay in the upper reaches with a few excursions to the bottom. While the terribilis do climb around somewhat, especially when they are younger, they mostly seem to like sitting on the floor in the open waiting for goodies. They aren't particularly athletic or active frogs, but neither are they shy and retiring. I haven't found them to be particularly territorial or aggressive, either.
