Default Are these items viv/dart safe?

I have three items that i took from a local swamp/wildlife reserve (with permission) and was wondering if they would be safe for my vivarium with tincs.

The first is some moss

The second two are both mushrooms

Are there any precautions i should take before adding these to my viv? Thanks for the help.

Only thing I can recommend is that you make sure that moss dont have any hidden snails or slugs that might attack and eat your other plants.

The mushrooms won't hurt your frogs, but they probably won't grow either, if transplanted. They are fruiting bodies of a much deeper and extensive mycelium. The most you can hope for is that they will disperse some spores than may eventually take a hold somewhere in the tank in the future. (You could dry them out and take some spore prints over an index card, then either wash or blow these into your tank, sit back and see what happens.)

As far as the moss, the only problem is as already stated, unwanted snails and slugs that might be introduced. It may not grow well, either, but may be worth a try.

depending on where u live the moss will need a dormancey period and will just die off eventually. the moss also might have mites in it which could harm ur other plants. Mushrooms often produce thier own kind of toxins and such, and they won't do much in a viv, that doesn't have thier partiuclar kind of soil in it. usually u would need some kind of fecal matter. and lastly things from out side can have chemicals on it.

I personally don't think its a cool idea, but i know ppl who do it all the time. just my $0.02
