What do the numbers mean?

Hello Y'all.
Can anyone explain to me what the various numbers stand for when expressed with their species of frogs. I assume they explain a type of breeding tree. Any help would be great.

first number is the number of males, second is number of females, third is unknown sex. So 2.3.1 means 2 males, 3 females, 1 unsexed froglet
