Default Housing D. Tinc Alone

I recently lost one of my frogs so I am left with only 1 left. How soon should I get her new buddies? Does she need company? She is a 3 year old female D. Tinc Blue Sip.

Frogs do not require companionship. It will do just fine by itself.

And it's always more fun to have 2 anyways.

I would find out why the first one died before you get any more frogs.

Yeah I would like to find a male for her. She as always lived with other male frogs, even breeding. I am afraid she will get lonely.

Been looking around and I cannot find anyone selling any Blue Sips of any age.

I had 2 males. One passed today, the other about 6 months ago. I am guessing it was just age, they were at least 6 years old. My female is much younger and is fat and happy.

6 years is still young for a dart to die of old age but that could have been it.
Frogs don't get lonely, but they do act differently when they are housed in pairs or groups, its really up to you. The frog will do fine either way.

My guess is they were at least 6. When I received them 3 years ago they were adults and had 2 previous owners. The gentleman I bought them from said he believed they were at least 2 or 3. Considering he wasn't the original owner I really have no idea how old they were when I bought them, but they were definitely full grown adults.

If I do get another one I don't plan to buy one for another month at the earliest. Considering I want an adult Male it could take quite awhile to locate one.

Thank you all for the reassurance that she will be okay alone for awhile.

My frog with the most personality is my runt tinc that's in a 10gallon by himself. His personality cracks me up sometimes and he doesn't seem to be bothered that he's by himself. When my vents were in the tank next to him he would sit on a leaf and stare at them when I would feed them first.
