Default vittatus

I might be getting a 2.2 of vittatus. I am still new to darts and would like to make sure I do everything right. I have mint terribilis so I have the FF thing down pat and I use to have Azureus.
What size tank would I need for a 2.2 group of vittatus? Is there anything I need to dust their flies with the keep the coloring?
Any input appreciated. Thank you

I kept a 2.2 of vittatus in a 20L. If you can offer them more room - that is great. But, if not - they will be happy with a 20L. I don't think I would go much smaller though.

In addition to the calcium and vitamin dust, you could try dusting the flies with Naturose occasionally. You may get them to get more "copper" colored - but then again, you may not. If you get breeding - there have been some posts showing that supplementing the tads with either naturose or cyclopeeze will result in them morphing with more color.

Thank you for the advice.
I will start looking to see if I can find Naturose.

not a stupid question. Means 2 males:2 females, therefore written 2,2. If there is an unknown sex you will see 0.0.1. So therefore when you see it written it will be male.female.unknown in a certain quantity.

Regarding the coloring of vittatus, the critical stage seems to be when they are tadpoles. At this stage, foods containing beta carotene tend to produce frogs with much brighter color in their stripes than those not fed carotenes. Once they morph, I have't seen too much influence from foods on their color. Like terribilis, vittatus will scarf down relatively large prey if offered so waxworms or small crickets are an excellent way to add diversity to their diet. They will also snap moths out of the air as will most Phyllobates.

2.2.0--> 2 males, 2 females, 0 unknowns
