It is normal for frogs to explore their new surroundings and select one or more places that they prefer. I would not worry about the situation provided both frogs are eating.

Good luck.

Nor would i worry unless they are not eating. I have one mint terribilis that loves to climb to the top of their 50 gal hexagon tank. He just prefers it up there. The other three dont like to spend too much time away from the stream.

I just got a couple new juvies, and they hide in their cave most of the time too. They do come out at feeding time though, and every day (its been a couple weeks) they get bolder and spend more time out in the open.

It helps if you provide some dense cover for them. I added some plant trimmings to my tank, and it seems to help their confidence quite a bit.

Default D. azureus in odd places

I just got a pair of Dendrobates azureus juvees for Christmas, I have only had them for a few days but I have seen them all over the tank. Just last night I couldn't find one of my frogs, then I spotted him sitting up in the upper rear corner of his tank. This sound very similair to your situation, I would just assume climbing around and sitting in odd places to be a natural trait of this species.
