Default 2 Leucs in a 12 x 12 x 18 ExoTerra?

I've got one leuc in a 12x12x18 ExoTerra, and she appears to be thriving. I'd like to introduce another leuc , but I'm concerned that 2 leucs in a 12x12x18 is going to be a little too tight.

I've read the care sheets, and it suggests a 20 or 29 gallon tank for a "group" of leucs. I don't really need a "group". I just want a pair.

My gut tells me I'm going to be better off getting at least a 10 gal tank if I want a pair.

Anyone have thoughts this?

Im still kind of new to the hobby myself, anyone you ask will say the larger the better. The rule of thumb is 5 gal per frog min. I have room and keep my pairs in 20 gal tanks and thy thrive in them.

Hope it helps

you can add one more, but it might be a little tight, but if you do ad another mate, make sure you sex your frog first and ad an opposite sex mate so there is no territorial battles.

IMO a 12x12x18 is a little tight for a pair of adult leucs. I keep my pairs in 15 gallon tanks, and they are much more active than when in their old 10 gallon tanks. While leucs do climb a lot, I only keep thumbs in the smaller exoterras. I would be extra careful if I introduced a new frog, and rearrange the tank so they both have to start in new surroundings.
