Azureus may be big frogs, but they are more adept at eating small bugs. Pinhead crickets, springtails and fruit flies are your best bets at feeding them.

As for how many crickets to feed, it depends on the frog. It is actually cheaper to keep a fruit fly culture or two around to feed them. The price of pinheads will add up after a while.

I would concur with the previous post.

My son & I buy crickets by the 1,000 for our reptile/amphibian collect and to be honest with you, ............... they're a pain in the rear! I hate crickets!!!! They stink, they're always getting out and escaping, etc..... Just a real pain to keep plus not to mention the cost.

Stay with fruit flies and you'll be OK.

My 2Cents!

Crickets... well i tried feeding them to my azueus and they flipped out but not in a bad way... i would also say that crickets smell and are extremely annoying... + they get out alot.... stick with fruit flies... and use crickets as a snack ever few weeks (like to replace feeding every other day for a week)....

Hello guys!
Itīs because for me itīs better to feed then with crickets and roaches, I have A LOT of cultures of then growing (because my reptiles and big amphibians). for me its easier than fruit flies, so I want to know if itīs ok to feed azureus with crickets, and how much crickets per frog, I know it depends on the frog, but I want to have a basis to not make then too fat or too skinny, just to have an idea. I donīt know if I made mysef clear.
Gretings,
Leonardo
