Default Temporary enclosuse

I have 4 Leucs (a little over a year old) in a heavily planted 55 gal tank that I'd like to rearrange, to get more light to some of my plants. This will most likely turn into a complete teardown and rebuild. I also have a 10 gal. tank that I was setting up for Firebelly toads, but it turned into a terrarium for extra and plants, and cuttings from th 55 ,that I'm saving for another tank I hope to build enentually. It's also heavily planted now, with a water feature taking up about 30% of the floor space, and the other 70% is the same substrate I used in my 55. I was wondering if this is too small an area to keep my Leucs in while I rebuild the other tank :?: . I'm somewhat of a procrastinater, so the rebuild might take a month or two, or maybe three ops:. The Leucs have been in the 55 since I brought them home, about a year ago, and I'm sure they've gotten used to having lots of room to run around in.

Default temp enclosure

If you were planning to keep them out longer then a few days I would just get you 4 cheap sterilite shoebox containers. Add a layer of moist moss and maybe a cocohut in each and some leaf litter. Not only would this be a great temp enclosure but you can keep aggression out of the equation. I am always transfering frogs so I stick to simplicity while I do terrarium maintanence. I have kept adult aurates and leucs like this while I did a few new tanks. They stayed in these little containers for about 3 weeks I believe. All survived and are still in the colonies today. Hope this helps.

I think Thumbnail hit the nail on the head. The Sterilite containers (Wall Mart) are very inexpensive, sturdy, relatively clear, and come in all sizes. I now use the smaller ones for tad raising and the larger ones as interim nursery and quarantine containers. I think this idea would be better than stuffing all four frogs into a 10 gallon you are using for another purpose, especially if you are a procrastinator and they would be crowed together for more than a couple of weeks. Just put in some sphagnum moss substrate, and add some plant cuttings for each. They'll also be easier to monitor and catch when your tank is revamped.

Yea, that's kinda what I figured. I want to build a tank in the 30 gal. range for a pair of Galacts, or Azureus. So maybe I'll build that first and use it as a temp home for the Leucs, while I rebuild their tank. Then after I'm done and return them to their tank, Then I'll be all set for a pair of the the other frogs.
Thanks for the replies guys.
