Default Beginner Books

I am looking to get into PDF's and have found this site to be great. In addition to using this site as a resource, could some of those with experience reccomend a good book or two on PDFs?

Thanks Nick
Also, anyone here frequent the All Cleveland Ohio Shows?

Hey Nick,

Check out This site
I personally have "Jewels of the Rainforest" and "The Guide to Owning .." both written by the same person. They have bunch of nice pictures and good contents - but some are dated so you have to pick up most up-to-date info this site

I want "Dendrobatidae - 3 Volume" but it's kinda pricy

Good luck !

when I first started out I bought "Professional Breeders Series" and "Jewels of the Rainforest". Both very handy with lots of pictures and info. All the books out there right now are a little dated though. Hard to keep up with things that are still being discovered. I'd be willing to sell em both to you if your interested. not even as much as a crease in any of the pages.

The same folk that wrote Poison Frogs Professional Breeders series, which is a rather nice hand book of information, have written a larger tome Poison Frogs-Biology, species & Captive Husbandry, which was supposed to be available in the summer of 2005, but has still not been published to date. I'm on the notification list and check back regularly, but it still isn't available, at least in the US. This will be rather costly. (Around $150.00) You can check it out at http://www.zoobooksales.com Other than Jewels of the Rain Forest mentioned above, which is outdated, but has great photos, I also have Dendrobatidae-Poison frogs-The fantastic Journey through Ecuador, Peru, Columbia. This is in three volumes and was also rather expensive. The photos and adventures are great reading, but the practical information is scattered. It is not an organized "how-to" set by any means. (Christman, Siegfried P., Liebl Druck, Munich, 2004.)
