Hey, you are right, you don't have to have elerabrate set ups.
But when you have it set up like most people do, then the wastes are left in the tank, but the plants decompose the wastes and everything so you don't have to clean the tanks.
But if you just have paper towel or something like it then you have to clean the tanks pretty often. There are lots of people that have "ulgy" tanks, which the frogs live and breed in, but most of the pictures on here are peoples good looking tanks. I have a 10 gallon tank that just has pea gravel and dirt in the bottom and it is full of pothos, I have a trio of lamasi panguana's.(even though I have had them since February and have still only seen two at a time)
