I'm new to the board and I would like some help with the terrarium that I want to build. I have a 55 gallon tank that I am recycling from a reef aquarium that I had for over 5 years.
I have been doing my research now for about a month now and I am feeling pretty confident about setting up my terrarium. I'm hoping someone can help me with this question.
I live in an area that in the winter months are fairly mild. I feel I can control the temperature and humidity inside the viv. without any problems. What i am worried about is that in the summer and early fall months it becomes very hot on a consistent basis. I was wondering what some of you guys and gals do to regulate the temp. when the temps start to exceed a comfortable range? If I use ventilators they will end up just pushing the warm ambient air back into the viv.
This has got me stumped I hope someone can help.
Thanks in advance!
Felix
I forgot to asl also about chillers. In the aquarium trade we use chillers to cool the water if the temps get out of a comfortable range. I plan on using a waterfall feature in my viv. and also I want to water th background landscape.
The other question is if I use a chiller to cool the water will this affect my plants and will this help control the temperature?
