I would spend a good deal of time in the beginner section and start with the following thread:

The Mixed tank Verdict

no i know about mixing, and i agree with the reasons, this is my first time on dendroboard and i thought i posted this on advanced discussion but i made a mistake, sorry. iv only kept small vivs the biggest being 20 gallons, this viv im making is really big so i thought with carefull planning i could mix a few, i was thinking d. azureus or d.tinctorius'citronella' and pumillio i know a little about pumillio but iv never had the chance to keep them. what do you think i do agree that mixing in general is bad but with considerable planning and thought i think it could be done to the frogs advantage and well being.

Male Pumilio are very territorial, as in they'll attack a male frog, even a Tinc/Azureus without a second thought. I'm thinking of the picture in Jewels of the Rainforest as I type this. I've not had enough experience with enough different species of pdfs to say what would be good to mix. Possibly one of the Quinq group with one of the Tinc group?...

what about p.terribilis? they tend to be social in groups, and some thumbnails like d.amizonicus, for more aborial, im trying to keep them seperate, have their own nich. im going to have the viv set up so it has defined areas where they would inhabit, hopefully and succesfully keeping them together.
