I think you should consider the frogs' wants and needs above all else. If they truly appreciate that Brom, let them live in it. I agree, it is a bit taxing on the patience to look into a viv and see nothing but plants 99% of the time, but this is where they will feel the most secure, particularly since they've become attached to that Brom for security, etc. The only other thing I would suggest is a feeder station to draw them toward the flies, and in turn more visible. However, I just had this approach go terribly wrong when an ant army decided they wanted the banana too...
