Happy Labor Day Weekend! This weekend typically signifies that the end of summer is coming. What does that mean to us? We have to make room in our greenhouse to overwinter all of our plants and we have too many to fit right now. The good news for you is that we are holding an event that we have never held before. We thought that if we could offer a deal that was too good to pass up, then you would help us reduce our live plant inventory. Well, here it goes!

For those of you who were wondering about how we did with Hurricane Irene heading straight for us....We Really Lucked Out! The Hurricane was down graded as it hit the mainland and the winds quickly diminished to a safe speed. We were originally very concerned about the wind damage and how our greenhouses would hold up but we are truly grateful that the strongest winds never materialized here.
We never lost power but we were forced to evacuate our home for 1 night as the local Green River overflowed its banks at levels exceeding the flood stage. Luckily again, the river never made it high enough to cause personal damage to us. 200 yards away, however, was a different story.
The business down the street was under 9 feet of water, there was a lot of water damage elsewhere in town including lost homes, small dams washed away, bridges gone, water treatment plant damage, as well as a lot of personal property damage.
