climbing on the glass is normal. All my frogs do it when they're introduced to a new tank, no matter how big it is. I think it's part of the exploring every nooke thing.
As far as the eating thing, I'd let her eat. If she starts getting obese you may have to monitor more closely what she's eating, but as long as she seems to be an acceptible weight I wouldn't worry about it.
