I keep my dry media in a large, presumably airtight clear plastic container bought at bed bath and beyond and used for flour storage, I think.

You need to concentrate on good FF maintenance and hygene...hence the 30 day culture rule and mite paper.

It's really all you can do.....everyone gets mites at some point in time and most have them in some degree, always.

To constantly worry about mites is to not enjoy the Hobby.......less worry is better 8)
