I asked the same question of some other pumilio breeders. It seems that most will always lay and deposit tads in broms if given the choice between broms and canisters. Mine certainly did. Mike and Rich at Black Jungle don't use broms in their breeding tanks, and that's the only way they get adults to deposit tads in artificial cups.
