I always use 24oz, i get a good deal on them at SAM'S club. For lids i use the plastic dome ones with a hole in the top for a straw (used for slurpy's and icy coffe's, they are free at most coffee shops), plugged with foam.
I don't have that many though, i only make about 6-8 cultures a week.
It works out at about $7 every ten-twelve weeks (plus media of course).
